« Halloween Action in Belfast City - Part 2 | Main | Culture Northern Ireland »

November 02, 2006

I would love to hear a "Wayne!" spinoff podcast.

What could the theme song be (he'd need a new one since LTA owns the rights to the current version)?

I'm thinking something like the "Maude" sitcom..."and then came Wayne!..and then came Wayne!"

Jett Loe

Yep, I agree - we all know it's only a matter of time before: WAYNE!

Sadly, I think a "Wayne" spin-off would probably last as long as "Flo".

D00D - don't be so down on yourself - 'WAYNE!' would be great!

Wayne I think it would have the success of The Jeffersons (spinoff of "All In The Family") or even "Mork & Mindy" (spinoff of 'Happy Days' - bet you didn't know that, did you?)

As a child of the 70's I am well aware that Mork & Mindy was a spin off of 'Happy Days' as was 'Laverne & Shirley' and 'Joni Loves Chachi'.

I really liked this. 45 minutes of intelligent and thought provoking conversation about film is something I would certainly listen to. When do you plan on sleeping, Jett? Hang in there, Wayne.

Jett Loe

Glad you liked it Jama - Film Talk No. 2 is already recorded - as soon as the server space is ready, (in a couple o days), will put online.

I agree with Jama, this was great. Not to make Wayne feel threatened, for he's great in his own right - but Gareth is fantastic to listen to (if a tad cocky) and you have a great chemistry together. Keep these going!

Jett Loe

Thanks a bunch Jenny! Film Talk No. 2, in which we discuss Children of Men, will be up on the Film Talk website probably by tomorrow.
