You know folks - I have to admit to you I've never been a big fan of the puppets.
Not for the usual reasons - you know - inanimate objects coming to life - the primal fear of the undead returning.
Nope, just normally have preferred the human body in performance.
Anyhew, that's all changed now that I've worked with 'the Socks'. We shot three pieces with them back in London in the early days of 'Project X' aka ConstantComedy.com and they just charmed the heck out of me.
It was a real pleasure to run into the Socks manager Kev F. Sutherland last night outside the Gilded Balloon. He's out there hitting the pavement spreading the Sock Puppet goodness, (Puppetry of the Sock?), and if you're in town I can't recommend the show highly enough.
(P.S. I don't know what's up with my Jack Nicholson grin in the photo - that's what the Fringe does to you).
